Women Headed To Championship: The hard work for the women's team has paid off as they received an at-large berth to the NCAA Championships after a fourth-place finish at the Regional Meet last weekend. The women's 6-kilometer race will begin at 10 a.m. (Mountain) on Monday, Nov. 20. The races will take place in Terre Haute, Ind., with Indiana State serving as the host for the third straight year and the fourth time in the last five years. This will also be the eighth time since the championship began in 1981 it has taken place in the state of Indiana, more than any other state.

NCAA History: This will be the eighth appearance at the NCAA Championship for the women's team and the first since 2004. The highest finish for the Rams was 12th in 1997. Only seniors Danielle Korb and Nicole Feest have competed at an NCAA Championship before, as both were on the 2004 team.

All-Region: Junior April Thomas, Danielle Korb, sophomore Kirsten Anthony and Nicole Feest were all named to the Mountain All-Region women's team after finishing in the top 25 in Albuquerque, while senior Rob Watson was named to the men's team.

Mountain Region Recap: The women's finished fourth, while the men's team tied with the Air Force Academy for eighth. April Thomas placed 12th overall, running a 21:16.1, while Nicole Feest was 15th and Kirsten Anthony finished 16th. Danielle Korb took 23rd and junior Heather Loseke rounded out the scoring in 30th. Also finishing for the Rams were sophomore Kristen Hemphill in 37th and sophomore Ashlee Velez in 49th place. Rob Watson paced the men's team with a 19th place finish over the 10-kilometer course. Sophomore Jeremy Freed finished 26th overall, while sophomore Jeff Wahl was 42nd, senior Ryan Kirkpatrick was 52nd and junior David Zakavec rounded out the scoring in 65th. Also finishing were junior Andres Urbina in 76th and senior Nelson Palacios ins 88th.

Majority Return: Colorado State will return the majority of its firepower on both the men's and women's side as the men return four of the top seven and the women return five of the top seven.

All-Conference: Nicole Feest and April Thomas were named to the Mountain West All-Conference First Team, while Kirsten Anthony, Danielle Korb and Heather Loseke were named to the second team. For the men, Rob Watson was named to the all-conference second team.

Freed Honored: Jeremy Freed ran a personal best time of 25:24.55 en route to a 27th place finish at the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational. His time and finish earned Freed the Mountain West Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week honor. This is the first award of his career and the only time this season a Ram has been honored.
