FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Aaron Brown scored three touchdowns and rushed for 166 yards and TCU won its sixth straight with a 45-14 victory over Colorado State on Saturday night.

Quarterback Jeff Ballard rushed for two touchdowns and threw for another. He's has accounted for nine touchdowns - six throwing and three rushing - in his last two games. Ballard was 17 of 25 for 238 yards against Colorado State. He didn't play in the fourth quarter with Marcus Jackson relieving him.

Brown's 45-yard touchdown sprint in the third quarter was TCU's longest run of the season. He also had touchdowns runs of 1 and 28 yards in the second quarter.

TCU (9-2, 5-2 MWC) generated 606 yards of offense - their second straight with more than 600 - and never punted.

The Rams (4-7, 1-6 MWC) dropped their sixth straight game, the longest losing streak in coach Sonny Lubick's 14-year tenure at CSU.

Colorado State's biggest play of the evening was a 42-yard touchdown pass from receiver Johnny Walker to fellow wideout Dustin Osborn on a trick play in the third quarter. Quarterback Caleb Hanie went out a few plays earlier after being hit on a scramble. He'd return to the game, but rotated in with Billy Farris.

Farris was CSU's leading rusher with 19 yards.

Texas Christian found itself in an unusual situation in the first quarter - trailing. The Horned Frogs, down 7-0 early, hadn't been behind in a game in more than 19 quarters.

The Rams capitalized on a turnover when Hanie threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to Kory Sperry. CSU had its first lead in a Mountain West Conference game since the third quarter against New Mexico on Oct. 28.

TCU administrators and officials let out a roar before the game when BYU quarterback John Beck threw a last-second, game-winning touchdown pass against Utah on Saturday. The Cougars win all but guaranteed the Horned Frogs a spot in the Poinsettia Bowl in San Diego on Dec. 19.
