Colorado State University's football team closes the 2006 season Saturday night at San Diego State.
Rams' coach Sonny Lubick said Monday that he won't wait until the conclusion of the season to evaluate every aspect of his program as team prepares for 2007.
Lubick said he evaluates the program with his staff collectively and individually throughout the season, and would do so again following Saturday's game with the Aztecs.
Kickoff time Saturday is 5 p.m. PDT/6 p.m. MDT at Qualcomm Stadium. The game will be broadcast by the Colorado State Sports Network.
"I evaluate things with my staff weekly," Lubick said Monday. "We all have to look at ourselves."
Lubick said the first order of business for he and his staff will be hitting the recruiting trail. With the late finish - CSU hasn't played a game in the regular season in December since 1988 - Lubick and members of his staff will hit the road for recruiting Sunday, hours after arriving back from the game in San Diego.
The Rams hope to end the season on a winning note. CSU enters the game 4-7 overall, while San Diego State is 2-9.
Lubick said his players have continued to play hard despite difficult outcomes.
"I do believe our players have continued to play hard," he said. "Those seniors are playing as hard as they can play for us. We just have to go out and be better."
The team watched videotape Monday, then will have a 90-minute workout Tuesday to continue preparations for the final game of 2006.
