Colorado State University football coach Sonny Lubick's squad moved toward the end of the third week of spring practice Wednesday with a two-hour workout.
"I thought practice went well," Lubick said. "As long as they continue to work hard, I'm pleased. They have had a great attitude all spring, and have worked hard."
Lubick said several players have been held out of workouts while recovering from injuries. H-back Kory Sperry (hamstring) has missed the past week, while center Nick Allotta has missed the last three workouts due to a slight knee injury. Neither injury is serious, though their return to spring drills is questionable.
Lubick said the Rams will return to the field Thursday for another workout, then take the holiday weekend off. Next week, Lubick has scheduled workouts for Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Colorado State concludes spring practice with the school's annual "Green-Gold" spring game. This year's contest takes place at French Field adjacent to Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins near the intersection of Swallow and Shields. Kickoff time is 11 a.m. The game will be preceded by a free pancake breakfast provided by the CSU Spirit Committee. The breakfast will take place on the west side of the playing facility, from 9-11 a.m. There is no admission charge to the game.
Athletic department officials said Wednesday that players and coaches will be available for autographs and photos on the field at the conclusion of the game.
