Fort Collins - Colorado State University and Nelligan Sports Marketing today announced a new radio partnership with Z560 Colorado's ESPN Radio (560 AM, KLZ) in Denver to broadcast athletic events live for the next three years.

"Through our partnership with NSM, we are excited about the new broadcasting agreement with Z560 Colorado's ESPN Radio," said Director of Athletics Paul Kowalczyk.

"The ESPN Radio brand carries immediate statewide impact for our entire athletic program. I hope our fans throughout the state are as enthused as we are about their ability to follow the Rams on Z560."

Kowalczyk, NSM General Manager for West Coast Properties Mark Devine, and Station Manager Sherry Larkin finalized the agreement earlier today.

"Combining the prominence of CSU's athletic program with the reputation and coverage provided by ESPN Radio reflects Nelligan Sports Marketing's commitment toward continuing to enhance the partnership we share with the university," Devine said.

ESPN Radio will be the Denver metro affiliate on CSU's radio network, which also includes flagship station Newsradio KCOL (600 AM) in Fort Collins.

"This agreement is important to our station as well as to Colorado State and the thousands of Ram fans across the region," said Larkin.

"We're looking forward to a long and prosperous partnership, and the opportunity to provide Ram fans extensive coverage of the entire athletic program."

Under the agreement, events that will be broadcast live on the CSU network including ESPN Radio and KCOL include:

* All CSU football and men's basketball games. Football coverage includes a two-hour pregame show featuring interviews with coaches and players, and a one-hour postgame shows from the CSU locker room;

* Basketball coverage will include similar pre- and postgame shows.

* Selected women's basketball games including pregame and postgame coverage;

* The Coors Light Sonny Lubick Show, originating from the Stonehouse Grille in downtown Fort Collins every Wednesday night during the football season beginning Aug. 30;

* The Coors Light CSU Basketball Coaches Show live from the Hilton in Fort Collins during the season;

* A one-hour evening special in February to announce Colorado State's football national letter of intent signees;

* Live coverage of CSU's annual spring football game.

Z560 is owned by Crawford Broadcasting Co. The station covers nine states in the region , including the entire Front Range of Colorado. Crawford Broadcasting Co. was founded in 1959 and operates 29 AM and FM radio stations in 12 markets across the nation.

The agreement rekindles a relationship between CSU athletics and KLZ radio dating back to the 1970's, when the station aired CSU football and men's basketball games.
