Colorado State University conducted a two-hour workout Tuesday that pleased Rams' coach Sonny Lubick as the team prepares for Saturday's game with Colorado in Denver.
Kickoff Saturday is 3 p.m. at INVESCO Field at Mile High, matching the Rams and Buffaloes for the seventh time in either school's history at a neutral site.
"I thought it was as good practice. They worked hard, and things went fine," said Lubick following the workout.
Lubick said he knows his team must improve following last week's season-opening 30-6 win over Weber State.
"I know that they (Colorado) will be ready, and our players need to do the same thing. We have to use this week to get ready. We have several areas we need to clean up and improve."
Colorado State will return to the field Wednesday for another two-hour workout in preparation for the game.
Wide receiver Dustin Osborn (left ankle) and offensive tackle Dane Stratton (concussion) remain questionable for the game. Center Tim Walter (right knee) is out. Two CSU players - runningback Kyle Bell (right knee) and cornerback Brandon Cathy (left knee) are out for the season with injuries suffered during preseason workouts.
CSU officials said less than 800 tickets remain for sale from the school's allotment for the game Saturday. Tickets are available online at CSURAMS.com.
