FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The No. 17 volleyball team said goodbye to seniors Amanda Fahnestock and Tonya Mokelki with a dominating sweep of the United States Air Force Academy (30-18, 30-14, 30-14) Monday night in front of 1,565 fans to remain perfect in Moby Arena this season. Fahnestock had nine kills and three blocks. Mokelki finished the night with eight kills, seven digs and two solo blocks.

Jaime Strauss had her eighth double-double of the season with match highs in kills and digs with 10 of each. She also hit .526 on the night with a service ace.

"Tonight was about Tonya and Amanda," said Head Coach Tom Hilbert. "We wanted them to have fun. I was pleased to see them both have good matches."

The Rams (20-5, 12-2 MWC) rattled off nine straight points to start the match, the longest opening point run of the season. CSU allowed the Falcons (7-22, 0-15 MWC) to get within six points at 15-9 before extending the margin to 12 for the 30-18 victory. The seniors got started early as they combined for five kills and two blocks in Game 1. Jacque Davisson started her first match and notched two kills and four digs in the first game.

Game 2 saw the CSU offense explode for .382 hitting with 18 team kills while holding Air Force to .067 hitting. The Rams quickly reached a 20-7 advantage with a run of eight points behind the service of Fahnestock. Ashley Fornstrom was responsible for two blocks and two kills as CSU finished out the second game 30-14.

CSU quickly finished the match with a 30-14 victory. CSU held the Academy to .031 hitting while hitting .500. The Rams tallied three blocks as a team and Fornstrom finished the match with 39 total assists. The Rams swept 11 of the 14 home matches this season and every MWC opponent with the exception of UNLV.

The last time the Rams were undefeated at home was the 2001 season in which they went 15-0. CSU went on to host the NCAA first and second rounds, winning both and advancing to the regional semi-final.

"It feels great," said Mokelki. "Not a lot of teams go undefeated at home. It is fun."

Colorado State will now hit the road for the final two Mountain West Conference matches of the year. The Rams take on TCU in Fort Worth, Texas, on Thursday at 7 p.m. and finish out the season at New Mexico on Saturday at 4 p.m.
