FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The weekly Steve Fairchild Show (11 p.m., KUSA, Channel 9, Denver) will feature safety Klint Kubiak, who Saturday delivered a spectacular interception in the Rams' end zone with 2 seconds remaining to preserve a dramatic 28-25 victory over Houston.
Kubiak, a Houston native and son of Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak, finally had an opportunity to play the Cougars. One year ago, after anticipating CSU's trip to Houston for years, he felt ill in pregame warmups at Robertson Stadium, then spent the weekend in the hospital with low blood pressure and never played again.
The show is hosted by Susie Wargin, and produced by Jeff Dressel and Matt Arnold. It airs every Sunday night during the season.
CSU is off to its best start in two years. Last season, the Rams didn't win their second game until Nov. 17. The team also has won consecutive contests decided by three points or less. Prior to this season, the last time the Rams won a game by a field goal or less was Nov. 22, 2003, at UNLV.
