FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State volleyball team dropped four spots to No. 21 in the latest CSTV/AVCA Coaches Poll which was released Monday.
Over this past weekend, the Rams went 2-1 at the Asics Classic in Corvallis, Ore. CSU lost its first match of the season on Friday night as it fell to Pepperdine (currently ranked No. 24), 3-1. The Rams responded, however, by beating host Oregon State on Saturday evening and the University of the Pacific on Sunday afternoon to end the week with an overall record of 5-1.
The Rams face a challenging week ahead as they travel to Boulder on Wednesday night for a showdown with in-state rival and undefeated Colorado (6-0). CSU will then put its 17-game home winning streak on the line this weekend as it hosts ACC foe North Carolina on Friday night and then has a matchup with the eighth-ranked Florida Gators on Saturday night at Moby Arena.
