TEAM NOTES
Turnover ratio:
The Rams came up on the short end of the turnover margin for only the second time this year (also -1 vs. Utah, Oct. 10).

Turnover streak: CSU saw its streak of nine games with at least one takeaway come to an end today. The last time the Rams didn’t have at least one takeaway was Nov. 15, 2008, in a 20-6 win vs. New Mexico and then-head coach Rocky Long.

Visiting-team advantage: The visiting team in the series has won five of the last six meetings. Over the last six years, the only time the home team won was Dec. 2, 2006, a 17-6 Aztecs win at Qualcomm Stadium. CSU has lost three straight in Fort Collins. Bradlee Van Pelt was their QB the last time the Rams defeated SDSU at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium, a 21-6 victory on Nov. 15, 2003.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
James Morehead:
Blocked a critical extra point late in the third quarter, preventing SDSU from tying the game at 28. It was CSU’s first blocked kick since Tommie Hill also got his hands on an extra point, Oct. 11, 2008, vs. TCU.

John Mosure: Threw his first career pass, a 23-yard strike to FB Zac Pauga to give the Rams a 28-21 lead in the third quarter. He became the second non-QB to throw for a touchdown this year, joining Dion Morton, who has two.
• Mosure also had a career-high 130 rushing yards, eclipsing his previous best, 99 vs. Nevada (Sept. 19), including a career-long 24-yarder. His first 100-yard effort made him the second CSU player to top 100 this year, joining Leonard Mason.
• The last time the Rams had multiple players rush for 100 yards in a game during the same season was 2007 (Kyle Bell, Gartrell Johnson).
• Mosure also joins Grant Stucker as one of two CSU players this season to rush, throw and catch a touchdown.

Dion Morton: Registered his third career rushing touchdown on a second-quarter reverse. All three of his rushing TDs have come against the Aztecs, including two last season at Qualcomm Stadium.

Ty Whittier: Returned to the starting lineup for the first time since Sept. 26 at BYU. He’s been battling a stinger in his neck.

Klint Kubiak: CSU’s starting strong safety and team captain, was one of the first players to congratulate John Mosure after his first-quarter touchdown. Kubiak, who sustained a pectoral muscle injury that will sideline him for the remainder of the regular season, has an outside chance of returning if the Rams make a bowl game.

Michael Kawulok: Left the contest midway through the first quarter with a knee injury.

Eugene Daniels: Returned to action, making his first appearance (late in the first quarter) since sustaining a knee injury vs. Nevada (Sept. 19).

Andy Clements: Clements, who made his college debut the previous week at TCU, picked up his first career sack late in the first half, a third-down play that not only kept SDSU out of field-goal position, but also forced a fumble.
