FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Fans attending CSU football and basketball games this season will now have the convenient option of printing their tickets at home.

The athletic department is implementing a new computerized ticket-scanning system, similar to the one used at Coors Field. Barcodes are a component of that system, which allows fans to simply print sheets of paper from their home or office computer, and bring those sheets to the game. Ticket takers will then scan those printouts, and admit fans to the games.

Fans can only take advantage of the "print at home" option by purchasing tickets online. The CSU ticket office will then e-mail a confirmation of the order, which will link to a PDF of the tickets purchased. That e-mail also can be forwarded to others. There is a $2 fee for each ticket printed at home.

The new system will be in place beginning with the Rams' 2009 home football opener, vs. Weber State, Sept. 12. With the system available for less than a week, CSU already has nearly 100 orders from fans wishing to print their tickets at home.

Traditional ticket-ordering methods are still an option as well. Fans can purchase tickets either online at CSURams.com, in person at the McGraw Athletic Center ticket office during normal business hours, or over the phone at 1-800/491-RAMS.

For more information, contact the CSU ticket office at 970/491-RAMS.
