FORT COLLINS, Colo. – According to Head Coach Steve Fairchild, Leonard Mason and John Mosure will likely split carries to begin the year. And they may not be the only ones seeing carries this year.

“More often, it will be by committee,” Fairchild said. “How much each guy has will be determined as we go through the season.”

True freshmen Lou Greenwood and Chris Nwoke have both been in the mix to get carries along with Mason, Mosure and senior Alex Square.

“We have got to make a decision on Greenwood and Nwoke, if they are going to get enough snaps, we won’t redshirt them,” Fairchild said. “We still have some time, though."

The team started preparation for CU this week and Fairchild insisted the Rams must become steadier.

“Like I preached to our team in camp, we have got to be more consistent,” Fairchild said. “We flash at times like we’re better than last year but we still miss tackles and fumble the football. We’re not as sharp a team as I would like right now, but there is still time.”

The Rams will practice Thursday at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium. The practice is closed to the public.
