FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium will host its 43rd home opener Saturday, and the past will converge with the present on a special afternoon.

When CSU hosts Idaho, a defending bowl champion, the Rams will wear orange in a football game for the first time since they wore orange pants in 1958, the last year they were known as the Aggies. Saturday also will mark the first time the program has worn an orange jersey since the end of World War II. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Keli McGregor Day
The CSU community was deeply saddened in April when former Rams All-American tight end Keli McGregor, the President of the Colorado Rockies, passed away. To honor his legacy, CSU has invited his family, including his wife, Lori, and the couple’s four children, to serve as honorary captains for the pregame coin toss. They’ll also be on the field after the first quarter, when CSU will show a tribute video as part of a special ceremony. Members of the Rockies organization will also be in attendance.

Gates
Parking lots open three hours before every kickoff, 11 a.m. on Saturday. Stadium gates open at 12:30 p.m., 90 minutes before the contest. This game marks the only 2010 date on CSU’s schedule not on television. All told, 11 of the Rams’ 12 games are televised, and 10 are available nationally.

Ram Walk
Two hours before every kickoff, including Saturday at 12 noon, the players and coaches exit their buses and walk through Ram Town as the CSU band plays the fight song. Fans are invited to join the cheerleaders, band, CAM the Ram and others in the tradition, on the southeast side of the stadium, welcoming the team.

Towels
The first 5,000 fans in the gates will receive an orange rally towel, courtesy of 1st Bank.

Orange Aggies gear
Fans wanting to purchase orange items for Saturday’s game can go to the CSU Bookstore, CSURams.com, or for those in the metro area the CSU Denver Center. Fans also can purchase orange caps and shirts at the stadium on Saturday.

Band in Old Town
Fans in town the night before any home game are invited to begin their weekend in Old Town Fort Collins, where the CSU marching band performs on those Fridays beginning at 6 p.m.

Tickets
Plenty of tickets are available. There are four ways to purchase tickets, in person at the McGraw Center ticket office during normal business hours through Friday at 5 p.m., over the phone at 1-800/491-RAMS, online at CSURams.com, or at the stadium on gameday. Stadium ticket offices, located on the southeast and east side of the facility, open at 11 a.m.
