FORT COLLINS, Colo. – CSU, which has approximately 43,000 alumni and 70,000 former students living in the six-county Denver Metro Area, makes an annual fall appearance in Denver at the Cinch Jeans Rocky Mountain Showdown.
Now, the Rams are going to make a Mile High City appearance in the spring.
The CSU athletic department announced Wednesday plans to hold a football practice on April 13 at Infinity Park in Glendale, a Denver suburb. The evening session will take place at Infinity Stadium, near the corner of S. Cherry St. and E. Kentucky Ave.
Concessions are expected to be available, as are Ram Town inflatables for kids.
Also, in conjunction with the practice, the football team will attempt to arrange community-service appearances in the Metro Area. With its Community Service Initiative, CSU is believed to be the nation’s only football program that requires 100 percent of its players to make a minimum of three community appearances each year.
But those appearances to date have been only in Northern Colorado. This practice gives the Rams an opportunity to expand the initiative to the Denver area.
Many more details will be announced as they are confirmed at a later date.
