DALLAS, Texas – Jake Gdowski, a mainstay on the Colorado State offensive line from 2008-11, was recognized Wednesday when the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame (NFF) announced its 2012 class for the NFF Hampshire Honor Society.

The NFF Hampshire Honor Society recognizes players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 grade-point average or better throughout his college career.

Gdwoski, a business administration major at CSU, played in 36 career games in his four seasons of action with the Rams, making 28 starts, including 24 consecutive starts to end his career.  He was a three-time academic all-MW honoree.

The 2012 NFF Hampshire Honor Society class of 2012 includes 721 student-athletes from 232 schools, marking the largest class in the honor’s six years of existence.

Five other MW student-athletes earned recognition: Miles Burris (San Diego State), Clayton Kirven (Wyoming), Nate Potter (Boise State), Spencer Thomas (TCU) and A.J. Wallerstein (Air Force).
