FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Fans are invited to join Colorado State's record-breaking volleyball team on Thursday, Jan. 30. The team will hold its annual end-of-season banquet, which will celebrate the season's successes and honor its three departing seniors.
The celebration will take place at the Lory Student Center Theatre (500 University Ave.), on the campus of CSU. The night will begin with a social at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and a program. Included in the program is the presentation of team awards, speeches from each senior, a live and silent auction, and more.
The Rams set a program and Mountain West record by winning their first 27 matches of the season en route to a 28-2 overall record. The team went 19-1 in conference play, winning their fifth consecutive title and advancing to their 19th straight NCAA tournament. CSU's three seniors - Cayla Broadwater, Michelle Smith and MW Player of the Year Samantha Peters - plus the entire volleyball team and coaching staff will be in attendance at the banquet.
Those interested in attending the event can purchase tickets online. The cost is $30 for members of the Ram Club or Head Coach Tom Hilbert's NETwork group, and $35 for non-members. For questions, call (970) 491-2063.
