Other schools at ISU’s Pre-Nationals as well as other nationally recognized meets across the country delivered stellar results, allowing for a shakeup in this week’s poll. CSU wasn’t the only victim, as 11 other schools in the 30-team list also moved down as many as seven spots.
After finishing one place ahead of CSU at the meet on Saturday, Furman (previously No. 26) jumped ahead of Colorado State five spots to No. 21. No. 20 Indiana (previously No. 23) and No. 22 Michigan State (unranked) also moved ahead of the Rams after their solid showing among an elite field at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational.
CSU teams hold ground in Mountain Region
The Colorado State men’s and women’s teams remained ranked No. 6 and No. 8, respectively, in the USTFCCCA’s regional rankings released Monday.
Despite finally earning a victory over Southern Utah in excess of 500 points on Saturday, the CSU men remain one spot behind the Thunderbirds in both the national and regional rankings.
