LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Colorado State volleyball team extended its winning streak to nine over the weekend, helping the Rams remain at No. 7 in this week’s AVCA Division I Coaches Top 25 Poll. The ranking is CSU’s third in a row in the top 10.
All-time, CSU has been ranked in 255 of 467 polls – which ranks 14th nationally – and holds 66 appearances in the top 10 – which ranks 19th.
Three of CSU’s non-conference opponents are ranked in the top 20 this week: Wisconsin fell one spot to No. 6 after losing to No. 3 Penn State, BYU jumped one spot to No. 10 and Arizona State climbed a pair of spots after defeating then-No. 9 USC on the road. Additionally, Marquette is the top team in the ‘Receiving Votes’ category, unofficially ranked No. 26.
CSU concluded an eight-match road trip – its longest in 11 years – defeating Utah State and Boise State to begin Mountain West play 2-0. The Rams next face UNLV (Thursday) and San Diego State (Saturday). Saturday’s contest is the team’s annual Orange Out, and will be played following CSU football’s home game against Tulsa.
