  • No. 13 Colorado State swept Florida A&M to improve to 5-0 on the season, tied for the sixth-best start in school history.
  • Additionally, the Rams are yet to drop a set, winning each of the first 15 to start the season. That remains the second-best start in school history, and the best since 1986 (24).
  • In her first career start, freshman middle blocker Alexandra Poletto led the Rams with 12 kills and three blocks, registering a kill on each of her first 10 swings.
  • Poletto finished the match with 12 kills and a .857 hitting percentage (12-0-14). The .857 hitting percentage is the second-highest in school history, and is the highest by a freshman at CSU. Soraya Santos holds the CSU record with an .882 (15-0-17) hitting percentage set on Oct. 12, 2001 at New Mexico.
  • Colorado State's starters were: Sanja Cizmic, Adrianna Culbert, Cassidy Denny, Deedra Foss, Poletto, Kelsey Snider and Jaime Colaizzi. It is the third different lineup Head Coach Tom Hilbert has used this season.
  • With the win, the Rams improved to 3-0 all-time against Florida A&M, also earning home wins in 2003 and 2005.
  • Dating back to 2012, CSU has now won 16-straight regular-season non-conference matches. The last time the Rams lost to a non-conference opponent was in five sets vs. No. 2 UCLA (Sept. 15, 2012).
  • Dating back to last year, 10 of CSU's last 11 home wins have resulted in sweeps. The only win that didn't end in three sets resulted in a four-set CSU victory over New Mexico.
  • Since 2011, the Rams are 44-3 at Moby Arena. Only Texas, Florida State and Penn State have better home records during that span.
  • The Rams extended their program-best streak of consecutive matches without being swept to 86, a streak that dates back to Sept. 2, 2011.
  • As a team, CSU hit a season-best .469 (49-11-81) and held Florida A&M to just .051 hitting (22-18-79), the lowest for a CSU opponent this season.
  • The Rams have now held their opponents to under .100 hitting in three of the five matches this season. CSU's opponents are hitting a combined .081 against the Rams.
  • Much of that effort can be attributed to CSU's elite blocking numbers. With nine more blocks vs. Florida A&M (led by Snider's five), the Rams are averaging 3.50 blocks per set this year. Last year, the NCAA leader (Creighton) averaged 3.06 blocks per set.
  • CSU has posted at least nine blocks as a team in all five matches this season.
  • Joining Poletto with a career-night was Cizmic, a fellow freshman. The outside hitter posted 11 kills and just two errors on 16 attacks (.562) in her second career start.
  • With Poletto and Cizmic both reaching double-figures for kills, it marked the first time this season that CSU has had multiple players tally double-digit efforts in that department.
  • Rounding out CSU's balanced attack, Snider and outside hitter Marlee Reynolds each posted nine kills, while junior Culbert tallied seven to her name.
  • Junior transfer Crystal Young saw her first action as a CSU Ram, appearing in Set 3 and finishing the match with three assists and a dig.
  • Redshirt freshman recorded her first career kill. She also added two blocks.
  • In Set 2, CSU took a timeout leading just 10-9. The Rams came out of the timeout with a 5-0 run, and an 11-3 run overall, to jump out to a 21-12 lead.
  • CSU did not trail in the first or third sets.
  • The Rams hit .556 in Set 2, a season-high for a set.
