Culbert, Andrews earn all-region honors

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Colorado State senior Adrianna Culbert and junior Acacia Andrews were have earned AVCA Pacific North All-Region honors. Culbert was named to the all-region team for the third straight season, while Andrews received honorable mention recognition.
Culbert was one of three players on the Pacific North team to have been named all-region for three straight seasons, joining Stanford setter Madi Bugg and Hawaii middle blocker Olivia Magill. CSU has had multiple all-region selections each year since 2007, and dating back to 1987, has had 46 total honorees.
The Pacific North Region consists of half the Big Sky, Big West, Mountain West, Pac-12 and West Coast conferences.
Adrianna Culbert | Senior | Setter/Opposite Hitter | Delton, Mich.
Culbert was the Mountain West's best all-around player this season, playing all six rotations and splitting her time between hitting and setting in CSU's new 6-2 offense. She was named the league’s Player of the Year on Nov. 30. Culbert's versatility led to eight triple-doubles this season, blowing away the previous school and Mountain West records for season and career triple-doubles. She also recorded the first quadruple-double in the NCAA in over five years at San Jose State on Oct. 17, leading to a pair of national player of the week awards (AVCA and espnW). Culbert was named Preseason Mountain West Player of the Year in August.
Acacia Andrews | RS Junior | Middle Blocker | Norman, Okla. (Honorable Mention)
Andrews led the Mountain West and ranks 32nd nationally in hitting percentage (.390), and eclipsed the .400 hitting mark in 15 matches this season. Andrews was regularly one of CSU's biggest offensive weapons, including a career-best 18-kill performance in four sets at Air Force on Nov. 5. She also recorded her first career double-double at San Jose State on Oct. 17, tallying 10 kills and a career-best 12 blocks. Andrews received one weekly honor from the league this year, getting defensive player of the week recognition on Oct. 5.
