A mix of rain and snow forced the Colorado State football team into the indoor practice facility on Thursday afternoon for the seventh practice of spring. Next on the schedule for the Rams is the first scrimmage of spring, which will be held on Saturday morning.

First-year head coach Mike Bobo said he will look to see who can make plays and who is dependable during the scrimmage.

"Every practice is an opportunity for them to show what they can do, but we're going to play football on Saturday," Bobo said. "It'll be nice live situations and how they adjust to different situations in a flow of a scrimmage type atmosphere."

Fans will be itching to see how the quarterbacks perform on Saturday, and Bobo had a message for his signal-callers on Thursday.

"For quarterbacks on Saturday, try not to do anything out of the ordinary," Bobo said. "You play football. You've prepared and you've prepared well. Now, take what you know and go out there and play the game. Don't be a robot, don't think too much just play. Just play."

Thursday's practice was arguably the best practice of the spring, even though the team was limited indoors.

"The effort has been good every day," Bobo said. "The first day they didn't quite understand what we wanted, but since that day the effort has been great. Day-by-day we've gotten better with our assignments. Today was probably our best day, guys knew their assignments better and were playing fast."

CSURams.com will have a full recap and stats from Saturday's scrimmage.

Understanding what we're trying to do offensively and what the language that sometimes I might speak that they don't understand, not necessarily my accent but different terms that are described a different way."
