On-campus stadium construction update

In less than five months since mass excavation began in October 2015, Colorado State University's new on-campus multi-purpose stadium has rapidly taken shape just south of the intersection of Pitkin Street and Meridian Avenue on the Fort Collins campus.
Scheduled to open for the 2017 football season, the 41,000-capacity structure has already begun to rise up on the footprint from which more than 50,000 cubic yards of dirt have been excavated and 555 caissons drilled and poured to form the deep foundation.
Mortenson Construction and ICON Venue Group continue to keep the work on schedule, with the west side Level 100 concrete already completely in place as the calendar turned to March, and the concourse level above also becoming visible. Simultaneous construction on the west and east sides will continue south over the next several months until the two sides meet to close in the south end of the stadium.
The west side tower will include all of football operations, suites, loge boxes, indoor and outdoor club sections, Hall of Champions and the press box. The east side of the structure will house the brand new CSU Alumni Center as well as classroom space, making the stadium a gathering place that engages and unites all aspects of the University's past, present and future.
Construction progress can be viewed daily via multiple webcam angles provided on the official new stadium website at stadium.colostate.edu, as well as time-lapse motion of the progress since construction began.
The stadium website also features an immersive look at the various premium seating options currently available for sale, as well as online purchase of commemorative bricks that will be permanently placed in the north entry of the stadium.
