Cartwright earns NFF Hampshire Honor Society nod

IRVING, Texas – Kivon Cartwright, a 2015 graduate from the Colorado State football team, was recognized on Wednesday when the National Football Foundation (NFF) and College Hall of Fame announced its members of the 2016 NFF Hampshire Honor Society.

The NFF Hampshire Honor Society recognizes players from all divisions of play who maintained a cumulative 3.2 grade-point average or better throughout their college careers, while also playing a significant role on his respective team.

Cartwright earned his bachelor’s degree in May 2014 and his master’s degree in management practices in December 2015. He graduated with a 3.27 grade-point average. The powerful tight end finished his standout career with 75 receptions for 1,136 career yards and 11 touchdowns. He was a two-time All-Mountain West Honorable Mention, including in 2013 when he recorded 462 yards and six scores, and 2015, returning for a sixth year of eligibility via an NCAA waiver to record 279 yards and two touchdowns.

The 2016 NFF Hampshire Honor Society includes 868 players from 275 schools, setting a new record. Cartwright is the 13th Ram to be selected to the NFF Hampshire Honor Society, which is now in its 10th season.
