FORT COLLINS, Colo. - After two weeks off from competition, the Colorado State cross country team is set to return to action this Saturday at the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational in St. Paul, Minn.

Saturday's meet is set to be held at the University of Minnesota Les Bolstad Golf Course. The meet officially begins at 7:55 a.m. MT (8:55 a.m. CT) with the playing of the national anthem, and is set to last all day with various Division I, II, III, NAIA and high school programs competing.

Division I female athletes are set to begin 6k competition at 12:35 p.m. MT (1:35 p.m. CT). Competition for Division I male athletes in the 8k will begin at 11:20 a.m. MT (12:20 p.m. CT). Results will be posted on CSURams.com as soon as they are available.

Colorado State will compete against 36 other teams in the Roy Griak Invitational field. 16 of those opponents have a men's or women's team currently nationally ranked or receiving votes in the USTFCCCA national coaches' poll, including Mountain West foe Boise State, as well as Furman, Illinois, Iowa State, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Northern Arizona, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Portland, San Francisco, Southern Utah and UCLA.

"We are very excited to race our full squads against some of the best competition in the country," Colorado State head coach Art Siemers said. "The Roy Griak course is a challenging course with lots of hills. It will be a great opportunity for our athletes to showcase all the hard work they put in this summer and in the early season."
