  • The Rams won their first Mountain West opener since 2011. CSU is now 57-47-7 in conference-opening contests.
  • CSU has won the last seven games in its series with Hawaii, dating back to 1995 when both schools were members of the WAC. Overall, CSU holds a 15-9 record against Hawaii.
  • CSU's 610 yards of offense were its most under Head Coach Mike Bobo, and the second time in three games the Rams have topped 600 yards. The 610 yards were the 10th most in program history. Tonight's game was the third this season that the Rams have totaled more than 500 yards Under Coach Bobo and offensive coordinator Will Friend, the Rams have exceeded 500 yards of total offense 12 times (4 in 2015, 5 in 2016, 3 in 2017).
  • The Rams' 10.34 yards per play (59-610) is the third-highest single-game figure in school history. The No. 2 average of 11.1 came last Nov. 19 vs. New Mexico, giving the Rams two of the top three yards-per-play figures in school history in their last 8 games.
  • With his 4 touchdowns, CSU QB Nick Stevens moved into second all-time in passing TDs at CSU. He now has 53 TDs in his career, passing Moses Moreno (51) for second. Stevens is now 11 TDs away from the Rams' career leader, Garrett Grayson (64). Stevens has also now thrown for multiple TDs in 11 of his last 12 outings, dating back to last season.
  • Stevens also threw for 351 yards (on 18-of-22 passing, 81.8%, 7th-best in CSU history), moving him into sixth in career passing yards at CSU (6,334). He passed Bradlee Van Pelt (6,271) and Anthoney Hill (6,309), and is now 3 yards from tying Caleb Hanie (6,337) for fifth.
  • Stevens completed his final 12 pass attempts, going 12-for-12 from the beginning of the second quarter onward.

The Rams scored on each of their five full possessions (TD, TD, TD, FG, TD) of the first half. CSU last scored on its first five drives at New Mexico on Nov. 16, 2013 (TD, TD, FG, TD, TD).
  • CSU's defense started the game by forcing three 3-and-outs as the Rams built a 21-0 lead. The last time CSU forced a trio of 3-and-outs to open a game was on Nov. 5 of last year against Fresno State (the Rams shutout the Bulldogs 37-0).
  • WR Michael Gallup had 8 catches for 212 yards. It was the second 200-yard game of his career (213 at Air Force last year). The yardage total was the seventh-highest in program history. In addition, he eclipsed the 100-yard plateau for the third time this season and the ninth time of his career.
    • Gallup became the second Ram to have a 200-yard receiving performance against the Rainbow Warriors – Greg Primus had 256 in 1991.
  • RB Dalyn Dawkins had 130 yards on 17 carries. It was his first 100-yard game of the season and 10th of his career. It was also the first 100-yard rushing performance by any Ram this season. • Dawkins' 130 yards were the second-most ever by a Ram against Hawaii (Kapri Bibbs had 137 in 2013).
  • Stevens completed a pass to Gallup for 76 yards late in the first half, with Gallup stepping out of bounds at the 4-yard line as he stretched to dive for the pylon. The play set up an Izzy Matthews TD run. The 76-yard play was:
