Bryan, Gallup, Stonehouse candidates for All-America honors

Colorado State has three strong candidates for All-America honors this season – WR Michael Gallup, P Ryan Stonehouse and K Wyatt Bryan.
 
A look at all three candidates:
 
MICHAEL GALLUP | WR | Senior | 6-1, 200 | Monroe, Ga./Butler County (Kan.) Community College
    Games: 11 (118.0 ypg)
    Statistics: 87 receptions … 1,298 yards (14.9 ypc) … 7 TDs
  • No. 1 in the nation in receiving yards (1,298) and receiving yards per game (118.0)
  • 4th in receptions per game (7.9).
  • Mid-season AP 2nd-team All-America
  • Only FBS player with two 200-yard receiving games in 2017 (212 vs. Hawai'i, 9/30; 263 vs. Nevada, 10/14).
  • His 263 receiving yards (13 rec.) vs. Nevada Oct. 14 represent the third-best single-game performance in FBS in 2017.
  • First in the FBS in receptions of 10 yards (54) and 2nd in total scrimmage plays of 10 yards (54).
  • His 81 receiving yards at Alabama (9/16) are the most by any Crimson Tide opponent in 2017.
  • FBS active career leader in receiving yards per game (107.1 in 24 games).

  • Two-time All-MW
  • 2015 Ray Guy Award finalist and a semifinalist in 2016
  • Named a first-team All-American by Pro Football Focus in 2015
2014 – Rashard Higgins, WR (1st Team – AP, Walter Camp, FWAA, USA Today; 2nd Team – Sporting News, CBS Sports)
  • Set CSU records for career receiving yards (3,649), single-season yards (1,750 in 2014), career receptions (239), season receptions (96 in 2014), career receiving TDs (31) and single-season receiving TDs (17 in 2014).
  • Was a finalist for the 2014 Biletnikoff Award, given to the nation's outstanding receiver.
  • Was a fifth-round draft choice (172nd overall) of the Cleveland Browns in the 2015 NFL Draft.

2013 – Kapri Bibbs, RB (2nd Team – Walter Camp)
  • Set a school record with 1,741 rushing yards in 2013
  • Had 31 rushing touchdowns that season, becoming just the third running back in the history of major college football to have at least 30-plus TDs in a year
  • Won Super Bowl 50 as a member of the Denver Broncos
2003 - Dexter Wynn, KR (3rd Team – CBSSportsline.com)
  • Earned All-Conference honors as both a kick returner and defensive backa
  • Recorded three return touchdowns in his career while logging four interceptions as a DB
  • Drafted in the sixth round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles and played seven NFL seasons
2002 - Morgan Pears, OL (2nd Team – Sporting News)
  • Played one NFL season with the New York Giants
  • All-MW in 2002
  • Was a part of three CSU MW title teams
1997 & 1998 - Anthony Cesario, OL (1997 2nd Team – Sporting News; 1998 1st Team AFCA)
  • Started 37 consecutive games for the Rams and did not allow a sack in 1998
  • Drafted in the third round of the 1999 NFL Draft
1995 - Brady Smith, DE (2nd Team)
  • WAC Defensive Player of the Year in 1995
  • Set the school's single-season sack record with 15 - a mark Joey Porter tied in 1998 - and at the time set the career record with 28 sacks.
  • Drafted in the third round of the 1996 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints
  • Played 10 seasons in the NFL recorded 45.0 sacks, seven forced fumbles and an interception
1995 - Sean Moran, DE (2nd Team)
  • A two-time first-team All-WAC defensive lineman
  • Returned a fumble for a touchdown to help push the Rams to a victory at No. 6-ranked Arizona in 1994
  • Drafted in the fourth round of the 1996 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills
  • Played for the Buffalo Bills, St. Louis Rams and San Francisco 49ers
1994 & 95 - Greg Myers, S (1994 1st Team – FWAA, Sporting News, Scripps-Howard; 1995 1st Team – AP, UPI, Walter Camp, Sporting News)
  • Recorded 14 interceptions at CSU, including six as a freshman
  • Drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the 1996 NFL Draft, and also played for the NFL's Dallas Cowboys
  • Won the Jim Thorpe Award in 1995
  • He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame and into the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame in 2012

  • Holds the NCAA career record for career rushing attempts at 1,211
  • CSU's all-time leader in career rushing yards and touchdowns
  • Played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL

1984 - Keli McGregor, TE (2nd Team – UPI, AP)
  • Recorded 47 receptions for 479 yards and three TDs as a senior
  • Selected by Denver in the fourth round of the 1985 NFL draft and played for the Denver Broncos and the Indianapolis Colts during the 1985 NFL season
  • He joined Colorado Rockies in October 1993 as senior director of operations. He was promoted to senior vice-president in 1996 and executive vice-president in 1998. He was named president of the team in 2001
1977 & 78 - Mike Bell, DL (1977 2nd Team – AP; 1978 1st Team FWAA, Kodak, UPI, Sporting News, Playboy, Walter Camp; 2nd Team – AP)
  • He was the second overall pick in the 1979 NFL Draft, and played for the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs for his entire professional career
  • During his twelve NFL seasons, he played in 135 games and started 100 of them, while compiling forty quarterback sacks and ten recovered fumbles

1975 - Kevin McClain, LB (1st Team – Sporting News, Time, Newspaper Enterprise Association; 2nd Team – UPI)
  • He was a 1st round selection (26th overall pick) in the 1976 NFL Draft
  • McClain played for the Los Angeles Rams from 1976–1979
1955 - Gary Glick, HB (2nd Team – AP)
  • He was the first overall selection in the 1956 NFL Draft, and to this day is the only defensive back in history to be selected first overall in an NFL Draft
  • Played seven seasons in the NFL
  • Was the head coach for the Norfolk Neptunes (ACFL) and the Montreal Alouettes (CFL) and later an NFL scout

  • Drafted by Detroit Lions in second round, Rookie of the Year and All-Pro in 1950
  • Inducted into CFB HOF in 1981
  • Served as CSU athletic director from 1976-1986
