Community Open House and Rams football scrimmage presented by Scheels highlight monumental day

FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Rams fans are just five days away from enjoying a campus-wide celebration that includes a look inside the new stadium, a football scrimmage and the Colorado State University Community Open House. The events on Saturday, Aug. 5, begin at 10:30 a.m. and will include a ceremony to unveil the 4,725 commemorative bricks purchased by supporters of Colorado State.

·         Purchase Season Tickets and Mini-Plans

Events are scheduled throughout the day in the vicinity of the stadium. Inside, the Colorado State football team will hold an open scrimmage, presented by Scheels, to allow fans to get their first look at Mike Bobo's 2017 team and also experience the stadium for the first time. The clear bag policy will be in effect for all fans entering the stadium, and Scheels will distribute 5,000 clear bags at stadium gates.

The scrimmage is free, but requires a ticket for entry. Tickets have been mailed to season ticket holders, matching the seat location(s) of the season tickets they purchased. Additional general admission tickets for the event are available at no cost but will need to be claimed online or by visiting the Rams Ticket Office at the Stadium on event day. The ticket office will open Saturday at 10 a.m., and is located on the north side of the stadium along Pitkin Street.

Parking for August 5 event will be first come, first served, with fans permitted to park in any available lot. While tailgating on game days will be permitted in designated lots, there will not be tailgating allowed for the event on Aug. 5.

The new Ram Zone Official Merchandise Store at the stadium will officially open Aug. 5, and all concessions stands will be in operation to allow fans to experience the amazing new food and beverage offerings in the stadium.

The annual Community Open House typically takes place in mid-August, before the fall semester begins. This year it will take place earlier than usual and includes a chance for members of the community to go inside the new stadium and enjoy the scrimmage on Sonny Lubick Field. The campus-wide celebration will feature complimentary popsicles provided by Revolution Artisan Pops, inflatables for the kids, CAM the Ram will be on hand, and CSU representatives will distribute information about the university's various units, resources and services.

Season ticket holders are invited to pick up their game tickets at the event and sit in their brand new seats for the first time. Tickets and parking passes will only be released to the name on the account and photo identification is required. All season tickets and parking not picked up on Aug. 5 will be mailed on Monday, Aug. 7.

The Rams Sales Team will be on-site Aug. 5 to allow fans to purchase season tickets, mini plans or single-game tickets for the inaugural season in the new stadium. Colorado State will celebrate 125 years since its first season of football throughout the 2017 season.

Season tickets, three-game mini-plans and single-game tickets for the 2017 inaugural season at the on-campus stadium are on sale now. Ticket demand for the Aug. 26 opening game against Oregon State has resulted in a sellout of single-game and mini-plan ticket inventory for that game, leaving season tickets as the only option to purchase a ticket for the opener. Season tickets, which include all six home games at the on-campus stadium and the Sept. 1 Rocky Mountain Showdown vs. Colorado in Denver, begin at $225. Mini-plans may be constructed starting as low as $94. To purchase tickets fans may contact the Rams Sales Team at 800-491-RAMS (7267) or visit www.CSURams.com/tickets.
