FORT COLLINS, Colo.—The annual Homecoming football game for Colorado State kicks off at 2 p.m. MT on Saturday, Oct. 13, and headlines a week of festivities that bring long-standing traditions and the pageantry of Homecoming and Family Weekend back to the CSU campus for the second year since the opening of Canvas Stadium.

Fans can begin their football weekend Friday on the New Belgium Porch for Football Friday Happy Hour from 4:30-6:30, catch the Homecoming parade as it comes by, then join the football team at the Homecoming Rally on the fields just west of the Lory Student Center at 6:30, and stay for the bonfire and fireworks.

HOMECOMING AND FAMILY WEEKEND AT CSU

More information on all of the events related to Homecoming and Family Weekend can be found at https://homecoming.colostate.edu/. In addition, the Rams' men's basketball team will hold an open scrimmage for fans at Moby Arena at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, and a number of events will take place around the annual All-Sports Reunion, as CSU Athletics welcomes hundreds of former student-athletes back to campus.

Homecoming Tailgate Packages offered by the CSU Alumni Association are available to fans who want to experience an enhanced pregame celebration within the popular Coors Light Ram Walk Tailgate just north of Canvas Stadium entrance on Meridian Ave. The package includes a catered meal by the CSU Meat Judging Team, a beverage and an exclusive giveaway—a CSU Rams Proud to Be pennant—all for just $20. The tailgate opportunity runs from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m., and tickets may be purchased online here in advance.

Those who purchase Homecoming Tailgate packages may pick up their tickets and gift from Wednesday, Oct. 10 through Friday, Oct. 12, at the Iris & Michael Smith Alumni Center, located in the northeast corner of Canvas Stadium, at the intersection of Meridian Ave. & Pitkin Street. On game day, The Alumni Association will have a separate check-in table for purchasers to pick up their tickets and giveaway at the Coors Light Ram Walk Tailgate.

The CSU Volleyball team also plays at home Thursday (7 p.m.) and Saturday (7 p.m.), with Saturday's match featuring the Rams wearing special State Pride uniforms for the first time.

PARKING

All game-day parking on the CSU campus is by pre-purchased permits, and a limited amount of single-game parking is available for purchase in Lot 570, in advance only, by calling the sales team or clicking here. Pre-purchased single-game parking passes must be printed at home and brought to the lot on game day. No day-of-game single-game parking may be purchased on campus, and all campus lots close at 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, to prepare for football pass parking only on game days.

FOOTBALL FRIDAY HAPPY HOUR ON THE NEW BELGIUM PORCH

All home football weekends kick off Friday afternoon with the Football Friday Happy Hour on the New Belgium Porch. This week's happy hour on Friday, Oct. 12, will take place at the regular time from 4:30-6:30 p.m., and will coincide with the annual Homecoming parade passing by the Porch. Fans are encouraged to attend the Homecoming bonfire and lighting of the "A" after the happy hour on the Porch. The football team and Coach Bobo will take part in the rally at 6:30 on the fields just west of the Lory Student Center.

There will not be a Stadium Sessions musical performance on the Porch, with the focus shifted for Homecoming to the Oval, where The Patti Fiasco performs a Stadium Sessions set at 3:15 p.m. On Saturday, Write Minded and Julia Kirkwood take the stage for the game-day Stadium Sessions performance at the Coors Light Ram Walk Tailgate on Meridian Ave. leading up to kickoff.

STADIUM POLICIES AND REMINDERS

A number of improvements and enhancements to the game day experience this season will help fans enjoy a successful visit to Canvas Stadium and be in their seats before the ball is kicked off. Fans are encouraged to make their way toward the stadium well before kickoff and to familiarize themselves with process and procedures for everything from parking to stadium entry procedures by visiting the Rams' Football Gameday page and reading the information below. The page contains several videos that illustrate the clear-bag and prohibited items procedures, as well as the express lane option.

Fans are reminded there is a clear bag policy at Canvas Stadium and a list of prohibited items, which includes strollers, bike helmets and all water bottles except crushable plastic types, empty, without a cap. The full list can be found at the link above, and plentiful express lanes are available for fans not bringing a bag into the stadium.

Saturday is game day, and like always, fans can find all the info they need at CSURams.com/footballgameday and by following CSU Athletics on Twitter at @CSURams, @CSUFootball and @CSURamsGameday.

GAME-DAY RUNDOWN

9:30 a.m.: Men's basketball scrimmage at Moby Arena, free and open to the public. Those with football parking permits may park in their lots and proceed to Moby Arena. Single-game parking may be purchased for Lot 570, or alternate transportation should be utilized.

10 a.m.: The Ticket Office at Canvas Stadium will open. At the same time (four hours before kickoff) campus will begin to come alive as the parking lots will open along with the Coors Light Ram Walk Tailgate and the CSU Alumni Center (located in the northeast corner of Canvas Stadium).

11:30 a.m.: Ram Walk, when fans may line Meridian Ave. to welcome the Rams football team on its march into the stadium, accompanied by the CSU Marching Band performing and four-legged CAM the Ram.

12 p.m.: All gates at Canvas Stadium will open and there will be special happy hour pricing presented by The Group Inc. Approximately 1:20 p.m.: The ROTC cannon "Comatose" will fire 15 minutes earlier than the traditional half-hour point before kickoff to help signal to fans to begin to make their way to the stadium to continue to enjoy pregame festivities from within Canvas Stadium. Fans are encouraged to plan the time they would like to be in their seats, and working back from that to plan their stadium entry time, allowing for longer lines closer to, and at, kickoff time.

The new "express lane" option available to fans will allow those entering the stadium without bags and only small personal items to find more streamlined and quicker entry. Fans are reminded there are lockers available on Pitkin Street just east of the Alumni Center to secure prohibited items without having to return them to their vehicles, or for those who used transit or bikes to come to campus.

Information about CSU's clear bag policy is available here. Student re-park will run from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12. Four wristband stations are located at the Lory Student Center parking lot, Meridian & Hughes Way, at the student tailgate in the TILT Lot and across from the entrance to the Coors Light Ram Walk Tailgate.
