FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State Rams will return home this weekend at the University Tennis Complex to face the Creighton Bluejays (Saturday, 1 p.m. MT) and the Weber State Wildcats (Sunday, 10 a.m. MT).
CSU (9-5) head coach Jarod Camerota is excited to be home for just the second time this spring.
"It's good to be home in front of our fans," Camerota said. "It's nice for the team to be home and not miss class. It should help their focus. We should have beautiful weather both days and I hope a lot of people come out to support."
The Rams visited Creighton for a fall tournament, Sept. 29-Oct. 1. CSU had success in Omaha -- In her singles run, freshman Priscilla Palermo defeated two Creighton opponents, each in straight sets (Ashley Ishimura 6-1, 6-3 and Michaela Heene 7-5, 6-1), while doubles pair Alyssa Grijalva and Emily Luetschwager also registered a head-to-head win against the Bluejays.
CSU last played Weber State (6-6) in 2009, which resulted in a 6-1 victory for the Rams. The Wildcats have several mutual opponents as the Rams on their schedule, including Mountain West foes UNLV, Boise State, Wyoming and Air Force. The Wildcats lost to UNLV, 7-0, on Jan. 21.
