Former Rams linebacker credits CSU for helping him become a community leader
FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Former Colorado State linebacker, Patrick Elsenbast, is an excellent example of what a student-athlete can achieve on the field of play and in the classroom.
Elsenbast, who was a double major in education and human resource studies, will earn his master's degree in December. He is also working toward enrolling in the United States military. The Chatfield High School product has always felt compelled to serve his community.
"I knew my purpose was to serve," Elsenbast said. "I loved to serve people in every aspect that I could."
Elsenbast, who earned National Football Foundation Hampshire Society honors in April, also credits CSU for his development as a leader -- on and off the football field.
"CSU was able, as a University as a whole... to just really develop me and catapult me as a person, as a student and a leader," he explained.
