CSU women’s soccer unveils complete schedule for 2018 season

Rams open their sixth season at Denver on Aug. 16; play first home match against Northern Colorado on Aug. 23
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State women's soccer team has unveiled its full slate of matches for the upcoming season, including 11 at home in 2018. The team announced its schedule on Thursday.
Colorado State will make its first appearance at CSU Soccer Field in 2018 with a intrasquad scrimmage at 12 p.m. MT on Sunday, Aug. 5. The Rams will then compete against Kansas on Sunday, Aug. 12 in a 1 p.m. CT/12 p.m. MT exhibition match in Lawrence, Kan.
Colorado State will officially begin its sixth season with Colorado Cup action at Denver at 7 p.m. MT on Thursday, Aug. 16. CSU will then travel to Colorado for a 3:30 p.m. MT match on Sunday, Aug. 19 before concluding tournament action with a 4 p.m. MT home match against Northern Colorado on Friday, Aug. 24. The Rams play their next home game, their second of 11 home matches in 2018, on Sunday, Aug. 26, a 12 p.m. MT match against Northern Iowa.
CSU will have a bye week following its match with UNI, and then will return home for four straight home games before starting its conference schedule. The Rams will host Eastern Washington (Friday, Sept. 7 – 4 p.m. MT), Grand Canyon (Sunday, Sept. 9 – 12 p.m. MT), Gonzaga (Thursday, Sept. 13 – 4 p.m. MT) and SMU (Sunday, Sept. 16 – 12 p.m. MT) over that stretch.
Following the nonconference slate, CSU will open its Mountain West schedule on Friday, Sept. 21 with a 7 p.m. MT match at New Mexico. The first of the Rams' home conference matches will also be that weekend, a 12 p.m. MT match against San Diego State on Sunday, Sept. 23. Other conference foes the Rams face at home include Air Force (Friday, Oct. 5 – 4 p.m. MT), Colorado College (Sunday, Oct. 7 – 12 p.m. MT), UNLV (Friday, Oct. 19 – 3 p.m. MT) and Nevada (Sunday, Oct. 21 – 12 p.m. MT).
Along with the Lobos, the Rams' conference opponents in road matches include Boise State (Friday, Spt. 28 – 4 p.m. MT), Utah State (Sunday, Sept. 30 – 12 p.m. MT), San Jose State (Friday, Oct. 12 – 6:30 p.m. PT/7:30 p.m. MT), Fresno State (Sunday, Oct. 14 – 12 p.m. PT/1 p.m. MT) and Wyoming (Friday, Oct. 26 – 3 p.m. MT).
