FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Colorado State University will hold its annual community open house on Saturday, Aug. 4, and for the second year in a row the Rams' football team will hold an open scrimmage in conjunction with the event. All events, and parking, are free.
Parking lots open at 10 a.m. and the open house begins at 11 a.m. in the areas surrounding Canvas Stadium (751 W. Pitkin Drive). The football team will take the field for warmups shortly after noon. The scrimmage—free to all fans—begins at 1 p.m.
Colorado State is preparing for its second season at Canvas Stadium after entertaining a record number of fans in the inaugural season of 2017. The open house will include giveaways, information booths, inflatables and live music by Mama Lenny and The Remedy and Porlolo. Food and beverage will be available for purchase on the West concourse inside Canvas Stadium and the New Belgium Porch will be open to all fans.
All guests entering Canvas Stadium are required to go through bag inspection, including metal detection screening. Re-entry is allowed, but includes re-screening upon each entry. Fans are reminded that the standard clear-bag policy will be in effect for the scrimmage. Strollers are not permitted in the stadium.
Parking is free on most campus lots on Saturdays. A map of campus parking can be found here, and bike racks also will be available for those wishing to bike to the event. The CSU Campus Transit Center will operate on its weekend schedule.
