Bryan named to Lou Groza Award watch list, Stonehouse to Ray Guy Award
FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Two Colorado State football specialists were listed on watch lists for national awards on Wednesday. Senior kicker Wyatt Bryan was named to the Lou Groza Award watch list, while sophomore punter Ryan Stonehouse is on the Ray Guy Award watch list.
The Lou Groza Award is given annually to the top kicker in collegiate football, while the Ray Guy Award is bestowed to the best punter.
Bryan was a semifinalist for the Lou Groza Award in 2017. He was 15-of-18 on field-goal attempts last season, including 2-for-2 from 50-plus yards and 5-of-6 from at least 40 yards out.
He enters the 2018 season second in program history in points scored for his career with 275, and is tied with Jeff Babcock for the most by any Rams kicker. He is also tied with Jared Roberts for best career field-goal percentage (77.8 percent) in the school record books.
Stonehouse, who was added to the Ray Guy Award midway through his freshman season in 2017, punted 46 times last season and ranked fifth in the FBS with a 45.9 yard average. He pinned 24 punts inside the 20-yard line and had 18 punts of at least 50 yards.
On Tuesday, Stonehouse was named to the preseason All-Mountain West squad as a result of a vote of league media members.
The Mater Dei High School product stuck two punts inside the 20-yard line at No. 1 Alabama, and had a career-long punt of 65 yards.

Adam Prentice – Allstate Good Works Team nominee
Cameron Butler – John Mackey Award (nation's most outstanding tight end)
