2018 Training Camp Report: Day 2

Rams to wear pads for first time tomorrow
The Colorado State football team had to adapt to the weather for day two of fall camp, moving from the practice fields to the indoor practice facility midway through practice.
The team was in shorts and helmets for the second consecutive day.
"(I) thought it was a good day," head coach Mike Bobo said. "I had to calm them down a little bit today; there was a lot of aggression, a lot of competition and just want to be careful, just want to be safe and have a really good practice so we can service each other. I'd rather be going that way than having to push them to get them to go harder."
Bobo thought the team put in good work on Saturday, especially considering that practice was interrupted due to weather.
"For a young team that has some inexperienced guys in that situation, I thought the guys did a good job of handling that, the seniors, the leaders on this team to get them focused and finishing and having a pretty good practice," Bobo said.
Although he acknowledged that it can be difficult to analyze the first two days of camp, especially without pads, Bobo stated that he did see some improvements from yesterday to today.
"It's hard to judge a lot of the things day one to day two because you're installing so many different things and you're just teaching and trying to get guys to understand the concept," Bobo explained. "I thought we threw and caught the ball a little better today offensively. Defensively, we brought a little more pressure today and were able to get to the quarterback a few times which was good to see."
The team will wear shoulder pads for the first time tomorrow, and put on full pads for the first time on Tuesday.
