Food trucks will be on hand, and stadium concessions stands will be open and serving a variety of tasty fare.
The football team will take the field for warmups shortly after noon. The scrimmage—free to all fans—begins at 1 p.m. Fans will get their first glimpse of the many exciting new additions to the football program, who join returning standouts Izzy Matthews, Josh Watson, Olabisi Johnson, Jordan Fogal and many others on fourth-year head coach Mike Bobo's roster.
Colorado State is preparing for its second season at Canvas Stadium after entertaining a record number of fans in the inaugural season of 2017. The Aug. 4 open house and scrimmage gives fans the opportunity to preview the 2018 Rams team, which kicks off the season on Saturday, Aug. 25, against Hawai'i.
The Open House also will include giveaways and information booths from CSU's colleges and units. Live music will be performed by Mama Lenny and The Remedy and Porlolo, and food and beverages will be available for purchase on the West concourse inside Canvas Stadium.
The Ram Zone store, located on Pitkin Street at the northwest corner of the stadium, will be open during the event, as will the Rams Ticket Office and the CSU Alumni Center.
A map of campus parking can be found here, and bike racks also will be available for those wishing to bike to the event. The CSU Campus Transit Center will operate on its weekend schedule.
All fans will enter the stadium through the north gates on Pitkin Street, and will be required to go through bag inspection, including metal detection screening. Re-entry is allowed, but includes re-screening upon each entry. Fans are reminded that the standard clear-bag policy will be in effect for the scrimmage. Strollers are not permitted in the stadium.
