Senior receiver opened the season with 157 yards versus Hawai’i
MOBILE, Ala. – Colorado State senior wide receiver Olabisi Johnson is included on the 2018-19 Senior Bowl watch list.
The 70th annual Reese's Senior Bowl is January 26, 2019 in Mobile, Ala., at 1:30pmCT. A long NFL tradition, more than 1,000 representatives from the 32 NFL clubs gather in Mobile starting on the Monday of game week (Jan. 21 in 2019) to interview players, attend the National Scouting Weigh-in and watch three practices for the North and South teams.
Johnson got his senior season off to a hot start with 157 yards on six catches with a pair of touchdowns against Hawai'i on Aug. 25. The 157 yards were a regular season career-high for the Lakewood, Colo., native.
Johnson, who earned the nickname "The Standard" from head coach Mike Bobo for his tireless work ethic, owns the top single-game receiving performance in program history. Johnson posted 265 yards on seven receptions as a sophomore in the 2016 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl against Idaho.
The Bear Creek High School product had a career-best 41 receptions for 595 yards last season. In 39 career games, Johnson has 1,380 receiving yards on 77 receptions and nine touchdowns.
Johnson is one of 12 players from the Mountain West Conference on the watch list.
Michael Gallup represented the Rams at the 2018 Senior Bowl and led the North squad with 60 receiving yards. Gallup was later drafted in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys.
