Q&A with redshirt freshman quarterback Justice McCoy
The Colorado State Rams held their 10th practice of fall camp on Tuesday, as the team works toward its second scrimmage coming up on Saturday. After last Saturday's first scrimmage, some players were beginning to earn opportunities to gain some reps with the first time, and head coach Mike Bobo shared some insight Tuesday about how those opportunities are playing out in practice this week.
"Defensively we moved Devin Phillips up to first team, we moved Emmanuel Jones up to first team, Quinn Brinnon is getting more reps at second-team safety," Bobo stated. "(Brinnon) had a good scrimmage and he had a good practice yesterday. I think he had two interceptions in yesterday's practice. (We) did a nice job offensively (today). Ches Jackson, the true freshman, is getting more and more reps at right guard…he's got a chance to be a good player…we feel pretty good about being able to develop some tackles."

One player who long ago firmly established his role on the team, fifth-year senior linebacker Josh Watson, is aiming to be a defensive force in 2018. Bobo remarked that Watson is doing all the things he needs to do to be just that.
"I think he's in really, really good shape going into this year," Bobo said about Watson. "He was in good shape last year, but he's in better shape, feels good about his body, feels good about where he's at, ready to control the defense, and he's kind of on a mission this year to have a good year."
After practicing in shells today, the Rams will be back in full pads tomorrow.
Tuesday also marked the first day that CSU students could claim tickets for the football season opener against Hawai'i (Aug. 25) and all volleyball matches. For more information on how to claim your student tickets, click here.

Justice McCoyQ: Coach has praised your focus going into fall camp; what would you say has made you so focused?
A: Knowing I could come in this year and possibly be the starter, so that focus completely changed for me. I have a year under my belt and I have the chance to really learn the playbook, so it gave me a good opportunity to be a starter this year.
Q: How can the fans motivate the team?
A: Just coming from a city where usually the games are not as packed as they are here and the energy that the fans bring... I'm definitely excited for the season, excited to see all the fans and just to see how great the season goes.Â
Q: What kind of music have you been listening to?
Usually I'll have a few vibes… Sometimes if I like to take it slow, I like The Jackson 5, a little New Edition. Sometimes if I'm kind of hype, it's Chief Keef a little bit.Â
 Q: How about movies?
A: I'm not really too picky on certain movies, really I just like getting out there and watching all different types of movies, but my favorite genre would be horror. I wouldn't say it was a horror movie, but I really liked Get Out. It has been out for a while, but I just recently saw it... I'm a little behind on the times! I just liked the fact that it was mysterious. People said it would be more of a scary movie, but I didn't perceive it as scary. It's still good I think, at the end of the movie.
