Playoff run comes to an end for Michael Gallup and the Cowboys
A look back at the NFC Divisional Playoff weekend for current #NextLevelRams:
WR Michael Gallup – Dallas Cowboys
Michael Gallup showed that the stage was not too big. The rookie from Colorado State rose to the occasion in his first NFC Divisional Playoff game, putting up career-best numbers with 6 receptions for 119 yards. His effort nearly provided the difference in willing the Cowboys to a second-half comeback, but it was not enough, as Dallas fell to the No. 2 seed Los Angeles Rams, 30-22.
Gallup's receiving yards were the most by a Cowboys rookie in a playoff game, eclipsing the previous standard set by Alvin Harper (3-88) in a 1991 Cowboys victory over the Chicago Bears.
That performance capped a strong rookie season for Gallup who finished the regular season with 33 receptions for 507 yards (15.4) and two touchdowns, including 23 receptions for 340 yards over his last seven games. Adding in his playoff performance (8-137, 1 TD), Gallup caught 41 passes for 644 yards (15.7) and three touchdowns, and experienced an NFL playoff win in the Wild Card round, over the Seattle Seahawks.
