Rams fall at Wisconsin, 5-2

MADISON, Wis. – Colorado State couldn't find the rhythm early in a 5-2 loss to host Wisconsin Sunday. CSU fell to 1-1 overall on the season, while Wisconsin improved to 2-0 on the year.
In doubles, the Badgers swept at No. 1 and 3 doubles, winning 6-3 and 6-1, respectively to take the doubles point. In singles, Wisconsin rattled off straight-set victories at the top three spots to lock up the dual match win. CSU did get individual victories at No. 5 from Nancy Ghanem and No. 6 by Riley Reeves, as both won in straight sets. Ghanem handled MaryAnn Rompf easily in a 6-3, 6-0 win, while Reeves had a battle with Christina Zordani, coming out on top 7-5, 6-4.
