Rams head to Las Vegas for three matches this weekend

CSU to take on UC Riverside, New Mexico State and host UNLV in duals
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State tennis team heads this weekend to Las Vegas for three dual matches, playing UC Riverside and New Mexico State on Saturday before opening Mountain West play against UNLV on Sunday.
The Rams enter the weekend with a 2-1 dual record, having won at Grand Canyon, 6-1, last Sunday. CSU started its spring with a 5-2 victory over UIC Jan. 26 before falling to host Wisconsin, 5-2, Jan. 27.
UC Riverside comes in with a 2-2 mark on the year, with the one opponent CSU will see later on their schedule in San Diego State, with the Aztecs winning the match 7-0. Last year, CSU pulled off a 4-3 victory in Las Vegas.
New Mexico State also sports a 2-2 overall record with wins over Western New Mexico (6-1) and Utah State (4-3). The last time the two programs played was in 2013, with the Rams winning 4-3 in Las Cruces.
UNLV has the most matches in this spring, having gone 5-2 so far in their action including a 4-2 win over Oregon. Runner-up in last year's Mountain West Championship, the Rebels are 3-0 in home matches so far this spring. Last year, UNLV earned a 4-0 victory over CSU.
UP NEXT
The Rams will head to Lincoln, Neb. Next weekend to take on Nebraska on Saturday followed by a neutral-site match against North Dakota on Sunday. Both matches are scheduled to start at 10 am CT/9 am MT.
