Bryan earns NFF Hampshire Honor Society recognition

Award honors players who maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better while being significant contributors for their teams
IRVING, Texas – Former Colorado State football kicker Wyatt Bryan has been recognized by the National Football Foundation (NFF) with inclusion on its 2019 NFF Hampshire Society team.
The Hampshire Honor Society recognizes football student-athletes from all divisions of play who maintained a cumulative 3.2 grade-point average or better throughout their college careers, while also playing a significant role on their respective teams.
A mechanical engineering major from Larkspur, Colo., Bryan was a 2018 semifinalist for the NFF's William V. Campbell Trophy, awarded annually to the best football scholar-athlete in the nation. He has earned Mountain West Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-MW honors all four years of his career with a GPA of 3.7.
Bryan, who prepped at Douglas Country High School, walked on to the CSU football team in 2014 and went on to become the Rams' all-time leading scorer with 337 career points. He was awarded a scholarship as a junior in 2017, and in 2018 broke the all-time CSU scoring record, previously held by running back Steve Bartalo (294 pts., 1983-86). He also finished his career with the CSU record for made field goals (53). His 2018 resume included a career-best 55-yard field goal in the win over Arkansas, and he finished his career 6-9 on attempts of 50 yards or longer.
Bryan ranks fifth in career field-goal percentage, finishing his career at .736 (53-72), and tied for fourth all-time in games played by a CSU Ram, with 51 (tied with Trent Matthews). He was a semifinalist for the Lou Groza Award as a junior in 2017, and was named to the Groza Award watch list before the 2018 season.
An all-time high of 1,661 players from a record 426 schools qualified for membership in the Society's 13th year, breaking records set last year (1,274 honorees from 308 schools).
The initiative has now honored 10,678 student-athletes since its inception, and the program has experienced growth every year in either members or school participation since its launch in 2007.
