Late homer not enough at Nevada

Tara Shadowen’s homer in the seventh wasn’t enough as the Wolf Pack walked off.
RENO, Nev. – Tara Shadowen hit her ninth home run of the season in the seventh to give the Colorado State softball team the lead late, but Nevada responded with two runs in the bottom of the inning to earn the walk-off win.

ÂÂÂColorado State got on the board first in the second inning, scoring on a double steal. Nevada tied the game in the home-half of the frame on a solo homer. The Wolf Pack took the lead in the fifth inning on an infield single, but the Rams tied the game after Amber Nelson homered to center.

The Rams took the lead in the seventh inning after Shadowen hit a homer, but the Pack responded with two runs off two singles to earn the walk off.
