Rams pick up their second road win of the MW slate while earning at least a .500 record for the first time since 2005
LARAMIE, Wyo. – Colorado State finished off a 2-0 weekend with a 4-2 Mountain West victory at Wyoming Saturday afternoon in the tennis version of the Border War. With the victory, the Rams guarantee at least a .500 overall record as they are at 10-9 and 2-4 in league action, while the Cowgirls fell to 13-7 and 3-2 in the league. It was just the second home loss for the Wyoming in seven matches this season, as CSU picked up its first win in the series since 2009, also a 4-2 victory in Laramie.
For the third straight conference match, the Rams picked up the doubles point for the early lead. Nancy Ghanem and Riley Reeves earned a 6-3 victory at No. 2, while Emily Luetschwager and Priscilla Palermo pulled out a 6-4 victory at No. 3 to earn the point.
Wyoming evened the match with the win at No. 1 singles, but Alyssa Grivalva had a solid 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 6 to put CSU back on top, 2-1. Wyoming knotted it at two with a victory at No. 2. From there, the Rams fight was on display, as both Ghanem at No. 3 and Emily Kolbow at No. 5 rallied after losing the first set to earn three-set victories, both winning 6-3 in the final set to give CSU the dual victory.

NOTES
- CSU has earned its first .500 or better season since 2005, when CSU went 15-9 overall
- This is the Rams' second 10-win season in three years under head coach Jarod Camerota and the first time with at least two Mountain West dual wins since 2010.
- The last time, prior to 2019, that the Rams had two Mountain West wins away from home in a single year was 2005 and the first time since formation of the Mountain West in 1999-2000 that they have won two true road conference matches.
- This is also the first time since 2006 and 2007 that the Rams have had two 10-win seasons in a three-year period.
