FREE POPCORN AND SODA
The Colorado State alumni association will be hosting popcorn and soda at the concessions trailer for all alumni who check-in at the alumni table for Friday's softball game. All alumni who check-in will receive a ticket to redeem for free popcorn and soda at the concessions stand.

THE WEEKEND
Colorado State will look to stay atop the Mountain West Conference and possibly secure its second MW Conference Championship as the Rams host San Diego State in their final home series of the season. The three-game series will begin Friday afternoon at 4 p.m., MT before playing Saturday at 1 p.m., and Sunday at 12 p.m. CSU will honor its five seniors prior to Sunday's game.

During the 2019 season, the Colorado State softball team will recognize it being #25Strong, referring to 25 years since being reinstated as a sport at Colorado State. The Rams' softball program began in 1976, but did not compete during the 1993 season due to the program being cut at the end of the 1992 season. Colorado State reinstated the softball program and competed in 1994.

OPPONENT SCOUT
Aztecs: San Diego State has won three Mountain West series so far this season, including taking the series from San Jose State last weekend. The Aztecs have won the last two league series (San Jose State and Nevada) since getting swept by UNLV. SDSU is in seventh place in the Mountain West standings.

RECORD SEASON
Colorado State will look to continue its strong season and conference play, as it has recorded 10 shutouts, while outscoring its opponents, 294-113. The Rams' 34-7 record is their best record ever and their 15-3 in the MW is the best mark since the league formed in 1999-2000.

FISHER WINS
Head Coach Jen Fisher surpassed her Mountain West season win total with a shutout win in game two at Nevada last week. Fisher has won 15 Mountain West games so far this season, the most in a season during her nine years at Colorado State - passing the 2014 season of 13.

SHUTOUTS
Colorado State has been on the right side of the ball, dishing out 10 shutouts so far this season, while being shutout themselves just once. The lone shutout came at the Mary Nutter against then-No. 2 UCLA.

QUICK WINS
The Rams have 12 wins so far this season by the run-rule, including the first-ever victory over Fresno State, 12-4 in six innings. Colorado State recorded seven run-rule wins in all of 2018. CSU's 11 run-rule victories this season is the most since the 1997 season.

LAST TIME OUT
Colorado State continued Mountain West Conference action last weekend at Nevada and won its sixth series of the season. The Rams dropped the first game of the series, but responded taking the final two. CSU hit seven home runs in the series – tying with the New Mexico series – led by Amber Nelson who blasted a homer in each game.
The Rams also picked up an 11-3 victory in six innings against Northern Colorado on Tuesday afternoon.

TOP-25 RANKING
Colorado State remained at No. 25 in the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 Poll this week. The Rams entered the poll last week for the first time in over 21 years. CSU was last ranked on March 4, 1998 and were No. 23. That season CSU finished 30-21 overall and 16-13 in the WAC.

Colorado State has dominated the Mountain West weekly softball awards this season as it has garnished a league-high eight so far this season, including five-consecutive honors at one point. The Rams' eight awards are the most in a season while a part of the Mountain West Conference.

STREAKING
Colorado State set a program record after it won the first two games of the San Jose State series to win its 20th consecutive, which passed the previous mark of 18 set in 1989. The streak was also the second longest-active streak at the time, behind Oklahoma who is currently riding a 31-game streak. The 20 games is also the third longest winning streak at Colorado State, behind women's basketball (28) and volleyball (27). During CSU's streak, it defeated Nebraska, Dayton and Syracuse twice, swept Fresno State, Utah State and recorded its first road sweep since 2016 at New Mexico.

LEADING THE NATION
Colorado State still leads the nation in doubles per game with a 2.39 average - a .51 difference to second-place Georgia Tech. The Rams have recorded 98 doubles so far this season, which leads the nation and ahead of Georgia Tech (ACC), Illinois (Big 10) and Virginia Tech (ACC).
