Conference-High Three Goals This Weekend for Noonan

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – After a three-goal weekend, sophomore Kristen Noonan has been awarded Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.

Noonan got in a rhythm on Friday against Valparaiso, scoring two of Colorado State's three goals in the game. The first goal came in the 14th minute on a lengthy second-chance effort by the Rams that ended with Noonan finding the top right of the net. In the 63rd minute, Noonan utilized her 5-foot-11 frame to sky for a header off a corner kick, which put finishing touches on the Rams' 3-0 win.

Against Marquette on Sunday, Noonan, of Porter Ranch, Calif., did not slow up as she scored the Rams' one goal on the afternoon in the first eight minutes. Noonan has started every game this season and has totaled five goals and one assist. She has scored or assisted in six of CSU's 13 total goals.

Noonan, a transfer from Cal State Fullerton, finished second on the team with five goals scored, and was selected for the 2018 All-Freshman Team in the Big West Conference.

The award marks Colorado State's second underclassman in two weeks following sophomore goal keeper Gabi McDonald's award last week.
