Rams Have 13 players Earn NFF Academic All-Colorado Football Team Honors

Scott Brooks, Dequan Jackson repeat as first-team selections

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State's football program had 13 players earn their way on the 2019 National Football Foundation Academic All-Colorado team, announced Friday by the Colorado chapter of the organization.
 
Six made the first team, while seven others earned honorable mention recognition. The 13 total players surpasses the 10 who made the team last year, with Scott Brooks and Dequan Jackson repeat selections on the first team.
 
All six of the Rams on the first team were starters for the squad at some point in the 2019 campaign –Brooks, a junior center, (3.35 GPA in business administration); junior cornerback Marshaun Cameron (3.64, tourism management); Jackson, a sophomore linebacker, (3.52, sociology); freshman linebacker Mohamed Kamara (3.75, undeclared); senior fullback Adam Prentice (3.33, civil engineering); and freshman wideout Dante Wright (3.43, health and exercise science).
 
Senior Brenden Fulton (3.15, business administration); juniors Joe DeLine (3.09, business administration), Collin Hill (3.06, tourism management), Max McDonald (3.20, business administration) and T.J. Storment (3.18, business administration); sophomore Thomas Pannunzio (3.01, construction management); and freshman Christian Hunter (3.13, art) were the honorable mention selections.
 
The qualification criteria required a GPA of 3.3 or better for first-team status, with 3.00-3.29 for honorable mention, as well as at least carrying a participation rate of 70 percent (unless injured), being a regular in game play on a rotation basis or being a specialist. The cumulative GPAs were taken through the fall 2019 semester. Ten state universities were recognized with 188 selections, 116 on the first team.
