Colorado State finished the Texas A&M Invitational with a loss to Texas Tech, 3-0
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Colorado State softball team finished the three-day Texas A&M Invitational with a 3-0 loss to Texas Tech this morning. The Rams offense was still quiet, registering just a single hit by Danielle Serna, a double, in the fourth inning. The hit put CSU's third baserunner on base and its last of the game.

Taylor Gilmore made her second start of the season, throwing 4 1/3 innings to be tagged with the loss. The redshirt junior faced 23 batters, striking out four and recorded two earned runs. Freshman Sydney Hornbuckle made her collegiate debut in the fifth frame and finished the game in the circle, throwing the final 2 2/3 and allowing just one hit and struck out two.

TEXAS A&M INVITATIONAL NOTES
- Corina Gamboa and Jordan Acosta led the Rams batting .250 for the week with four hits each
- Gamboa hit the only homer of the weekend, coming against the first game against Texas A&M
- CSU was 2-for-2 in stolen bases, with Ashley Michelena and Brooke Polenz each swiping a bag
