It's another preseason honor for the All-American tight end.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Another week and another preseason watch list for Colorado State All-American tight end Trey McBride, and this time it's for one of the nation's top post-college all-star games, the Reese's Senior Bowl.

McBride has already previously earned preseason All-Mountain West First Team honors from Pro Football Focus (PFF), as well as watch list designation on the John Mackey Award and Rotary Lombardi award.

Trey McBride Preseason Honors:
  • John Mackey Award Watch List
  • Rotary Lombardi Award Watch List
  • Senior Bowl Watch List
  • Pro Football Focus Preseason All-Mountain West First Team

McBride, who was one of only nine tight ends named to the Lombardi Watch list, is considered one of the nation's top tight ends and possesses an all-around game with his pass catching and blocking ability.

In 2020, McBride graded out high for PFF as both a blocker and a receiver, giving him a 90.8 receiving grade last season after leading the team with 22 receptions for 330 yards and four touchdowns; he also became the first tight end in program history to lead the team in scoring. He was tied for the 6th-best mark nationally in receiving grade by a tight end and was 14 spots higher than the next closest Mountain West tight end, Air Force's Kyle Patterson.

Only two other Mountain West tight ends appeared in the Top 50.

For his career, McBride has steadily climbed the charts for Colorado State tight ends and enters the 2021 campaign one touchdown away from tying Joel Dreessen for the second-most touchdown receptions in a career. He also has the second-best yards per catch average by a tight end in Ram history.
