Four Rams earned weekly accolades following CSU’s 22-6 win at Toledo on Saturday.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Following Colorado State's 22-6 victory at Toledo on Saturday, four Rams received honors from national or conference outlets for their performances.

Kicker Cayden Camper was honored for his 5-for-5 field goal performance with Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week honors in addition to earning Star of the Week honors from the Lou Groza Award. Camper was one of three kickers honored by the group that presents its award to the nation's best kicker at the end of the season, and he is the first Ram to earn the conference honor on special teams since Wyatt Bryan on Sept. 14, 2015.

He is the first CSU kicker to go 5-for-5 on field goals attempts in a single game since Jeff Babcock hit the same mark in a victory over Virginia to begin the 2002 season.

Defensively, the Rams held Toledo to just 21 rushing yards and under 300 yards for the game, and a big part of that performance was from first-time starter, true freshman Jack Howell who was named the league's Freshman of the Week. Howell racked up nine tackles in the contest, second-most on the team, including five solo tackles. Howell also produced a crucial pass breakup in the contest that halted a Toledo drive. He is the first Ram to earn the award that was introduced by the league this year.

Nationally, defensive end Scott Patchan was named to Pro Football Focus' National Team of the Week as one of two EDGE defenders. According to the outlet, Patchan is ranked No. 2 nationally among pass rushers with 100+ pass rush snaps and is the No. 3 tackler for EDGE defenders with over 200 total snaps. He is the second Ram in three weeks to earn recognition on the team as tight end Trey McBride was named to the team in week one.

Speaking of McBride, the Reese's Senior Bowl named the Fort Morgan native it's national Offensive Player of the Week for his 9 catch, 109-yard performance. McBride is the national leader in the receptions, among all players, with 30 and No. 11 overall at 113.0 yards per game – nearly double the closest tight end (Notre Dame's Michael Mayer – 68.7). McBride's 339 yards rank 12th nationally and more than 100 yards ahead of Mayer's 209 as the closest tight end.

The Rams (1-2) are back in action this week as they travel to No. 5 Iowa for a 1:30 p.m. MT kick off from Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. The game will be broadcast nationally on FS1.
