Rams Add Six to 2022 Signing Class for Spring Semester

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State has added six signees to the 2022 signing class, and all six are on-campus working out with the team in winter conditioning.
 
Head Coach Jay Norvell previously announced 22 additions during the early signing period in December, including 13 early enrollees, which brings the total number of new scholarship Rams on campus to 19 and the signing class to 28 overall.
 
The six new additions include one high school prospect, one junior college prospect, and four FBS transfer student-athletes. Five of the six signees are defensive players while one (Turner) is a specialist.

On Chigozie Anusiem – 6-1, 205, DB, r-Sr.
Comes to Colorado State after four seasons at Cal (2018-21) where he played in 25 games with six starts … Tallied 40 tackles and seven pass break ups over his career with the Bears after redshirting in 2018 … Has two seasons of eligibility left with the Rams … Prepped at Sonora High where he was a cornerback and wide receiver … Tallied 139 tackles, five interceptions, 28 passes defended and three forced fumbles on defense while grabbing 51 passes for 1,151 yards and 13 touchdowns on offense … Also ran track and field in high school … Was a four-star recruit coming out of Sonora by Rivals and the No. 36 rated corner

Spent the 2021 season at Champion Prep Academy in Atlanta … Native of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where he attended West Toronto Prep and Austin O'Brien High School … Defensive Most Valuable Player for West Toronto from 2017-19 and a Carr Conference All-Star …
 
On D'Andre Greeley – 6-0, 180, DB, So.
Spent one season at City College of San Francisco with coach Jimmy Collins where he tallied 10 interceptions including two pick-sixes and a three-interception game vs. Diablo Valley … The top-rated junior college recruit in the state of California, No. 5 nationally among defensive backs, and No. 14 overall by 247Sports … Named a California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) First Team All-American … Helped lead CCSF to their eighth state football title with a 22-19 victory over Riverside City College with his 10th interception of the season and a junior college national championship with a 13-0 record and the top ranking … A three-star prospect out of high school where he prepped at Bullard High
 
On CJ Onyechi – 6-1, 250, DL, Gr.
Comes to Colorado State after five seasons at Rutgers (2017-21) where he tallied 87 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, and 5.0 sacks for his career … Earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2021 … Played in 43 total games over his career with 15 starts including eight at defensive end in 2021 … As a prep player, he played for coach James Matsakis at West Orange … Played offensive tackle, tight end, rush end, defensive end, and outside linebacker during his high school career … Was the 28th-ranked player in New Jersey and No. 2 outside linebacker prospect

Spent two seasons Nevada (2020-21) at with current Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell … Redshirted in 2020 … appeared in five games with two tackles as a redshirt freshman … Prepped at Southeast High in Lincoln for his senior season where his father, Tony, was the defensive line coach at Nebraska … Earned all-city and all-conference honors as well as first team Super State in 2019 as a senior … Racked up 73 tackles and two sacks at Southeast
 
On Paddy Turner – 6-3, 175, P, r-Fr.
Spent one redshirt season (2021) at Nevada with current Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell … A product of ProKick Australia … Father, Scott, was a professional footballer in the Australian Football League (AFL) from 1991 to 1999 for the Richmond Football Club where he played in 144 games with 33 goals
